Implementation of GIS-based site selection, rainwater harvesting, watershed improvement works, and construction of groundwater recharge and monitoring structures.
06.
— Institutional Capacity Building of WASA
Strengthening WASA’s institutional, technical, and service delivery capacity through customer facilitation systems, staff training, and provision of critical operational and maintenance equipment.
Objectives
The main objective of the project is to improve water supply service delivery in Quetta City through a combination of institutional, infrastructure, and water harvesting investments through the short term interventions as a part of the Master plan for the Quetta City, whereas the medium and long term interventions are to be followed hereafter upon completion of detailed design. The project is intended to improve living standards and maintain healthy socioeconomic activities in the project area by providing potable water to the people of Quetta Valley. In the occurrence of sufficient water supply through mitigation of water shortfall, the targeted population served rate is 100% in 2037.
